These tattoos are part of the bodysuit project that my client and I are working on. The sleeves design emerge from the fact that her partner in crime was born in the Chinese year of the Snake. The two sleeves took 20 hours, divided into 4 sessions, to complete. She took it like a warrior! I certainly hope this tattoo reminds the two Lovebirds that true love lasts forever, just like the tattoo! ;)
Cheers! And thank you for the love and trust. Until next time.
Cheap tattoo vs quality tattoo
Back when I was just getting in to the tattoo scene in Portland Oregon, many shops that I had visited would have banners hanging on their wall. These banners would say things like
"Cheap tattoo is not good and good tattoo is not cheap" or "be certain, tattoos are forever" or " if you are not 18 get out". These are just some sample of what you would see when you step into any tattoo shop.
I guess it was meant to remind us of what we are getting ourselves into. Today on the other side of the same planet, things are so different in every way. No tattoo shops...

I would be happy to discuss ideas with you for a custom tattoo while you are in Chiang Mai. We are currently accepting bookings for 2017. Stop by the studio and say hi or --> Send me an email to make a booking and discuss ideas.
This is a fun tattoo I did earlier this year. The client wanted to fill space on his stomach and chest with a large piece that would stand out. This snake and hare motif tattoo was drawn and the flowers were added to fill out the space and add a pleasing splash of color to the tattoo. Thanks for being such a great client. I had a blast sketching and tattooing this piece.
This is a traditional Thai motif of a Naga or water serpent that was done as a full sleeve for a very wonderful client. The sleeve features the water serpent wrapping up the upper arm of the client. Pink and green lotus flowers set of the piece and make it more complete. This was a very fun tattoo to do because the length of the serpent along with the potential for endless coils around the clients arm allowed me a lot of artistic freedom in the tattoo. Thank you so much for coming in.
This is a very detailed 3/4 sleeve that was done for a client this year. The sleeve features a number of chrysanthemum flowers fleshed out with a water and wave motif. I had a lot of fun on this tattoo because of the high level of detail in each of the flower as well as each flower being a slightly different color. Thanks for coming into Modzilla Tattoo studio and for being such a great client. I look forward to seeing you again in the future.
A fun series of stylized butterfly tattoos I did on a client in Chiang Mai. I really liked working with the shading and color of these as well as the internal skull and eyes that are barely hidden within the framework of the butterfly.
This idea behind this tattoo was a little outside of my expertise. The client wanted to have an elephant and a monk in a very realistic style. This is not my traditional style of tattooing but the client was confident in my skills so I drew something up that was not hyper realistic but was an accurate representation of the subject matter but adding my own style to the tattoo. He was very happy with the results, as am I. This tattoo was done in my studio in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
This peacock tattoo was presented to me by a client looking a peacock tattoo but something that was a little different and not just the highly coloured tattoo work that is seen in typical peacock tattoos. I drew out the tattoo and once the sketch was done the idea presented itself to me that a single color scheme alone side the black and grey work of the tattoo would make the tattoo really pop and give it a very original look. This was a very fun tattoo which gave me a lot of artistic licence in the tattoo work. Peac
